I have been training with Lucy at The New Body for over 2 years. I’m a 40ish Mum of 2 little boys who doesn’t like going to the gym. But I was convinced by some friends to start training with Lucy and, since, I have reduced my weight by 13kgs, I’m more active and I’ve gained in stamina and general fitness! Lucy’s program is fun and holistic in its approach to the individual and their life, exercise and nutrition.

Hi my name is tom, and I am a 57 year old accountant/musician. Some 18 months ago I joined my local gym wanting to shed weight and improve my general fitness. I'm aged in my fifties. Before Lucy started me on the me on the metabolic type diet I weighed 67kg's.
I would come home from the gym and nothing eatable in the house was safe. The first thing that I went for was the biscuit tin. I would then load up a 30cm plate with food, eat that and still look for more. Before going to bed I'd snack two peanut butter sandwiches.
Now since starting the metabolic type diet about June 2009 things have changed allot. I now come home from the gym after doing weights and two spin classes and not feel hungry at all. At the most I might have a handful of grapes or a banana while I get tea ready.
My dinner plate is now 20cm, and it still has room to spare. I very rarely have any desire for things sweet, (candy).
I have dropped 10kgs in weight and since this has happened I noticed my knees no longer hurt when I walk. My belt has been brought in about 10 - 12cm. I no longer snack before bed time.
What this diet has taught me if nothing else is how to eat right for my body type. Nothing feels better when someone comes up me and says "Gee, you have lost a lot of weight."

My name is Carla and i'm 29 years old. I've had issues with my weight and exercising my whole life. I've struggled to find a form of exercise that I enjoy enough to sustain long term, I would try different things but nothing seemed to maintain my interest long enough to have any real difference.
I've been training with Lucy for over a year now, and i'm really starting to notice the changes in my fitness levels and ability, and more importantly my attitude to exercise. Lucy is a great trainer, very motivating, but at the same time adaptable and knows when you're just not having an 'on' day. No two sessions with her are ever the same which is great for someone like me who doesn't like repetitiveness. And the environment within which she has created to workout in is very relaxed and comfortable. Since joining up with Lucy i've managed to lose 10kgs, i've still got a long way to go but I believe that i've found the right trainer to help me achieve my goals.

After a health scare I needed to get fit and lose weight, my sister agreed to be my work out buddy and we started going to the gym but after a while we were not getting that much from the sessions. Since joining up with Lucy at “The New Body” both of us have toned up, lost weight, learned how to eat more healthily and have fun while doing so.
The sessions are great and tailored to our different needs and fitness levels and the nutrition information and tips on how to keep to a diet plan are a great help.
